SUBMISSION GUIDE

THE BOWYER'S JOURNAL always welcomes articles, photographs, drawings and other artwork for publication consideration.

All material is accepted on speculation only and submission does not guarantee publication. Material submitted should be of a subject directly related to the crafting of traditional or primitive archery equipment or hunting and shooting with that equipment.

We accept both written and electronic submissions. Manuscripts should be typed, double spaced (lines, not after the period), and include the author's name and address on every page. E-mail submissions should be in Microsoft WORD format or equivalent.

Photographs should be glossy color or black and white prints of high quality and contrast. Digital photographs are accepted but should be shot at high resolution with a quality camera of at least 4 megapixels. Digital photos should be submitted as 300 dpi at full size. Photographs to be considered for covers should be shot in vertical format with enough space on top for the title.

All reasonable efforts will be made to return submitted material. We accept no responsibility for unsolicited submissions. Please include a self addressed stamped return envelope if you would like your submissions returned.

Upon acceptance for publication, an editorial agreement will be forwarded to the author/artist for review. All material must be the original, unpublished work of the author or include permission from the original source. Payment for use of material will vary based on length and quality. A signed agreement must be received before any material is published to protect the author and the publisher.
